TERRY LINDSEY EQUIDAE GALLERY

A view of the open studio and a report of a very successful show.   It was a great time and Wren was well received for her debut as a Gallery Girl.   She loved the visitors and even received a stuffed chicken from Arnie and Steffie.  When everyone was looking at the art she would try to snitch a snack.  She managed to get a cookie and cracker but not bad for a seven month old puppy.  Without a walk all day she was exhausted at bedtime from being a gracious hostess.

TERRY LINDSEY EQUIDAE GALLERY

GREETINGS FROM VERMONT.  I have just returned from the Equine Affaire show which was my  best  show ever.  I thank you all for visiting my booth and admiring the star of the the show, "Wren".  Her painting greeted all when entering.  Nibbles, the Santa feeding apple was a sell out of greeting cards and dog enthusiasts adored Noel Hoffman's portrait of a German Shepard with potential commissions.  The bronzes were adored and bought!  My jewelry once again was a very popular purchase with the new "Stable View" arriving in the nick of time for it's unveiling.  Again, thank you for visiting my booth and your continued support of the arts!

EQUIDAE PARTI WREN

Wren's first snow!

After the summer show!

TERRY LINDSEY EQUIDAE GALLERY

Well Hello All.  Here it is November 2nd and I am entering my first blog since this summer!  There are many reasons for the delay.  One is the first image that you see, a new puppy.  She is a standard Parti Poodle with the name of Wren.  She is hopefully a dog that you will see a lot of next summer at the show.  I have also included a scene from the end of the 10th Season in Saratoga!

It has been a beautiful and busy fall.  I am happy to report my first painting is almost completed and ready to post for your viewing.  Also I would like to give those who read this a heads up that I am once again going to Equine Affaire, which is next week.  I hope to see some of you there!

TERRY LINDSEY EQUIDAE GALLERY

Here we are rounding the last turn of the track towards the finish for this summer show season.  It has been a beautiful summer and a perfect show.  The above image shows Artist Louise W. King's hand built beautiful blue clay horse.  Paintings with an exuberance of color and life are oils by Lesley Humphrey.

As many know each Friday I have a demo or talk by an artist.  It was my turn on the 19th and we were headed to McLaughlins' stable to paint a handsome, dark bay named Alyarph.  Unfortunately, I was hit with a 24 hour bug that out me totally out of commission for the day.  For the first time in ten years I canceled a demo.  I am very sorry for those that traveled any distance and were not rewarded with the intimacy of the stable morning at the track.  I will still do the painting and sell it with proceeds going to MS in honor of Kiaran.  Thank you for your patience on last Friday.

Terry Lindsey Equidae Gallery

A June Hello!  I can happily report a very successful open studio with several purchases of originals.  The weekend was gorgeous and attendees came from as far as California.   It was a delightful time but painting was impossible with well over 100 visitors.

And now the TERRY LINDSEY EQUIDAE  GALLERY SUMMER SHOW COUNT DOWN begins for the 10th Year Celebration at the Holiday Inn in Saratoga, NY.  The show opens during set up on July 22 and goes to Sept. 5th.   The Friday of each week hosts a demo/talk wiht an artist at 10AM.  The gallery is open daily 9-9.  This is my excuse for not updating this blog weekly.

I have chosen to show you the above finished version of Zenyatta and Mike.  It is an oil on linen canvas, 24 x 30 and thankfully allowed by photographer Rick Samuels.  Zenyatta has been a dream of mine to paint for a long time.  She is a gorgeous gal and successful!

Where did April go?  It is glorious May in Vermont  and our bees are busy in our plum trees.   There is so much to look forward to.  I am posting today 'Century Dancer' my British Race Horse.  This oil was  from an image taken after her first win.   This 10" x 10" oil is the first in my  England Series, from our trip there last spring.  The  reason for the 10" x 10" is because my summer show  at the Holiday Inn in Saratoga Springs, NY during racing season, will be hosting the tenth year celebration.   Many artists will paint pieces this size .   It will be an interesting feature to my 2000 sq ft show.   Also please note that  I will be having my yearly OPEN STUDIO on Memorial Day.   For additional information please email    ....     terrylindsey@vermontel.net

Terry Lindsey Equidae Gallery

Here we are almost at the end of April.

I have been working hard at a series of (ten) 10" x 10" paintings.  The theme is England.  Why ten?  This summer will be a TEN YEAR CELEBRATION of the existence of Terry Lindsey Equidae Gallery.   Last spring we visited many parts of England horsey and non horsey.  The above image is just one of the many shots that I took inside ancient churches.  It was Easter and tradition has it that the people from the town put personally designed bouquets of their choice in windows or other areas of their churches, for the holiday celebration.  It was a magnificent treat to see arrays of flowers tucked next to windows and stone work hundreds of years old.  Of course the traditional Daffodil is not overlooked.

YES.   The snow is gone and the bees are out in Dorset, Vermont!

On my easel

This week on my easel is my long wished for painting of 'Zenyatta'!  Of course she has just won another race and Mike Smith is there to give her her just rewards.   Zenyatta has done more then win races for the racing profession.   She has reawoken the excitement that all desire in this sport.

Oh.  Yes the snow is melting!!!
